Job Description
Our Client, a Manufacturing Conglomerate company, is looking for a Test Engineer Level 3 for their Mayfield Heights, OH / Twinsburg, OH location.
Responsibilities:
Develop robust, safety-critical manufacturing test systems for products, integrating software, hardware, and systems engineering disciplines.
Drive consolidation of test platforms to better manage changes to products.
Contribute to solutions to emerging challenges in platform management, technical debt, data management, and cybersecurity
Apply software engineering best practices and contribute towards their adoption across the cross-functional team
Participate in a cross-functional Agile team within a larger Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization, actively participating in sprint and product increment planning
Engage, collaborate, and plan with stakeholders from multiple organizations and regions
Leverage modern CI/CD and Agile tools
Communicate project schedules, risks, and challenges to ensure the delivery of cost-effective test solutions within established timelines and budgets.
Provide tier 2 support for technical problems with manufacturing test equipment in live production.
Requirements:
Software in object-oriented languages such as C#, C++, or Python
Experience using software configuration management
Experience and understanding of the interactions between hardware and software and how to troubleshoot them
Skills:
Software
Windows programming
Safety-critical and high reliability software
Github Copilot and other LLM tools
Familiarity with CI/CD and Devops concepts
Experience working with Git
Hardware-software integration
Communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and Common Industrial Protocol (CIP)
Knowledge of electronic hardware design processes and mechanical design concepts.
PLC Programming
Modern firmware programming and security practices
Familiarity with secure programming frameworks
Software Troubleshooting
Visual Studio
Visual Studio Code
Testing
Testing of hardware-software integrated systems
National Instruments Test Stand
Familiarity with test equipment such as DMMs, Multimeters, etc
Systems Engineering
Requirements and working in requirements-driven environments
Continuous integration
Agile frameworks such as the Scrum and SAFe
Agile tools such as Jira and Azure Devops
