USA_Product Owner
The Product Owner at Banner Life is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering high-value product capabilities across insurance, finance, and digital platforms.The role acts as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions.The Product Owner will operate in an Agile environment, owning the product backlog, driving roadmap execution, and ensuring alignment with LGA's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership & DeliveryOwn and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business prioritiesDefine user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirementsPrioritize features based on business value, regulatory requirements, and customer impactDrive end-to-end delivery across Agile/Scrum or SAFe frameworksParticipate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Reviews, Retrospectives)Business & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the single point of contact for business stakeholdersCollaborate with:oProduct ManagersoBusiness SMEsClient development and QA teamsoVendors and third-party partnersTranslate business requirements into technical deliverablesAlign product roadmap with enterprise goals and regulatory obligationsInsurance & Domain AlignmentSupport initiatives across:oLife Insurance (Term, Final Expense, Annuities, etc.)oPolicy administration, underwriting, claims, and servicing platformsWork with policy administration systems and insurance data flowsTechnology & IntegrationCollaborate with engineering teams on:oAPI integrationsoData platforms and reporting solutionsoCRM and digital channels (e.g., Salesforce)Support modernization initiatives including:oCloud transformation (AWS/Azure)oDigital experience platformsoAutomation and workflow toolsGovernance & ReportingTrack product performance using KPIs and metricsManage risks, issues, and dependenciesProvide regular status updates and executive reportingEnsure delivery quality, timelines, and compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field
7-12 years of experience in:
oProduct Ownership / Product Management
oAgile delivery environments
Strong experience in:
oInsurance domain (Life Insurance preferred)
oPolicy lifecycle and business processes
Experience with:
oAgile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of:
oInsurance regulatory frameworks
Certifications:
oCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO / PSPO)
