Automation Tester - SDET | Java Selenium | Playwright | API Automation

Pay Rate: $40 -$45/hr

We have an immediate need for an Automation Tester for a hybrid opportunity in Omaha, NE 68124. This role is ideal for a highly skilled SDET professional with strong expertise in automation testing, API validation, Agile methodologies, and modern testing frameworks who can contribute effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

In this role, you will design, develop, and execute scalable automation frameworks and test strategies for enterprise applications using technologies such as Java Selenium, Playwright, API Automation, BDD, and Cucumber. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure complete test coverage across UI, API, integration, performance, and system testing layers. Responsibilities include developing automated test scripts, driving automation initiatives, executing sprint-based testing activities, managing defect tracking and reporting, and contributing to CI/CD-based quality engineering practices. The role also involves working with modern testing ecosystems including Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JMeter, Webdriver.io, TestNG, JUnit, AWS services, Docker/OpenShift environments, Kafka-based systems, and cloud-native testing practices. Candidates with awareness of AI-driven automation, context-aware development, and next-generation testing capabilities will have a strong advantage.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java Selenium automation, API testing, BDD frameworks, Playwright, and Agile testing methodologies. Experience with tools and technologies such as Spring Boot, Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS, Terraform, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, and databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL is highly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills are essential, along with the ability to guide testing activities and drive automation best practices across teams.
