POSITION TITLE: Systems Analyst
FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Information Systems
CONTRACT DAYS: A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree at an accredited university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or relevant field.
Must have training in relational database design and an in-depth understanding of SQL programming language, database management systems, and scripting.
Experience or training in working with databases, reporting/analytics, or programming.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and data queries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Experience in serving as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and various departments.
Excellent customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop, update, and manage reporting solutions to meet district, state, and federal needs.
Design and generate complex reports proactively and upon request.
Design, implement, and maintain integrations between various data sources and systems.
Manage projects independently from start to finish, including planning, execution, and evaluation, ensuring timelines are met.
Work independently with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of projects from start to finish, including problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Lead and coordinate cross-departmental collaborations for projects and system improvements, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring clear communication and technical understanding.
Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions and reporting deliverables.
Train end users on new tools, reports, and data processes as needed.
Write and maintain scripts for data processing, integration, and reporting.
Automate reporting processes and data workflows to improve efficiency.
Develop and maintain secure file transfer procedures.
Document processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures in the ticket system.
Make recommendations, develop processes, access resources, and implement other mechanisms that will ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data.
Troubleshoot data related to district, state, and federal reporting and develop reporting solutions to help identify data inaccuracies.
Develop and maintain databases and data systems as necessary.
Translate stakeholder requirements into reporting deliverables and technical solutions.
Analyze data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of system data.
Manage and support integrations of information retrieved from management systems with regard to software vendors.
Provide support for various applications and ensure seamless functionality.
Investigate and resolve complex system and data-related issues.
Assist in evaluating new software solutions and their alignment with district needs.
Investigate and resolve issues impacting data reporting and analysis by conducting thorough research and root cause analysis. Implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Define and refine business rules for the development and optimization of information systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational needs.
Collaborate in designing and analyzing data to provide actionable insights and recommendations that inform and guide decision-making processes.
Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive data, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Adapt to changing priorities and manage frequent interruptions, maintaining professionalism and emotional control under stress.
Maintain strong customer service and problem-resolution skills.
Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: preparing and maintaining accurate records; planning and managing projects; and utilizing pertinent software applications.
Ability to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific, job-related equipment.
Quickly learns and adapts to new applications independently, using available resources to troubleshoot and master functionality.

Understanding system security, secure file transfer processes, and maintaining data integrity.
Manage projects from initiation to completion.

Sound reporting, data validation, and process automation skills.
Knowledge of business intelligence technologies (e.g., Cognos) and data warehousing.
Handle interruptions well and move between tasks with ease while still meeting a deadline.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and collaboratively.
Maintains prompt and regular attendance
Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive professional working relationships with others
Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
