Job Description: Choctaw Global IT Support Specialist Intern - Linux Server Administration Position Overview: Choctaw Global LLC is seeking two (2) IT Support Specialist Interns with a focus on Linux server administration. This role provides hands-on experience managing server environments, monitoring performance, while supporting system reliability and security. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Linux servers (installation, configuration, patching) Monitor system performance and ensure up-time and security Troubleshoot server-related issues and implement solutions to manage those issues Manage backups, recovery processes, and system updates Qualifications: Working knowledge of Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar) Understanding of server administration concepts and best practices Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Preferred Skills: Experience with virtualization or cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Basic scripting (Bash) Knowledge of system security best practices Work Environment This role is in-person and onsite. *The above-noted job description is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to give the applicant a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of this position.
