Overview

Our client is looking for a senior-level AI Solutions Architect to own the design and deployment of production-grade AI systems across the enterprise, establishing a unified reference architecture and setting technical standards that prevent fragmentation and vendor lock-in. The ideal person is a hands-on problem-solver who thrives in complex enterprise environments and delivers usable, scalable outputs quickly.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI reference architecture spanning data ingestion, semantic layer, and application delivery
• Design and deploy production AI systems that integrate across enterprise platforms including ERP, MES, document repositories, and APIs
• Set and enforce technical standards for AI vendors and third-party solutions
• Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and challenge vendor proposals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Drive reuse and scalability of AI solutions across business functions such as procurement and engineering
• Reduce vendor dependency and lock-in risk through thoughtful architectural decisions
• Remove architectural ambiguity to accelerate execution speed across AI initiatives

Qualifications

• Proven track record of designing and deploying AI systems currently running in production
• Deep experience integrating AI solutions across enterprise systems (ERP, MES, document repositories, APIs)
• Strong command of modern AI architectures including LLMs, retrieval-based systems, and agent workflows
• Demonstrated ability to work with imperfect, real-world enterprise data
• Experience evaluating vendors, making build vs. buy decisions, and setting technical standards
• Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to contribute immediately
• Senior-level experience required; candidates must bring hands-on delivery expertise, not strategy alone

Compensation

$100-110/hr
