Job Description
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Scrum Master to support a major national laboratory.
Scrum master shall facilitate agile teams, apply best practices of the agile methodology, and assign and delegate tasks appropriately to align priorities with the overall schedule and team member capabilities. The Scrum master is responsible for understanding the parameters of each sprint and will foster timely and accurate communication throughout the life of the project. The scrum master works closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers. They will assist with problem resolution and work to maximize productivity and delivery to the customer.
Responsibilities- Scrum Master is responsible for monitoring the scrum processes and scrum meetings.
- Increases his team efficiency, motivates his team, spins, argues for changes that will ensure quality and timeliness.
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Remove impediments, guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- AS in relevant discipline plus a minimum 2 years, or more, of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties
- Related experience may be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
- Must have an Active U.S. Dept. of Energy Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
