About the Job
The Bank is seeking a Network and Security Specialist, to support and help develop the connectivity and infrastructure security of the FIMBank Group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Group networking and IT security activities, working independently on assigned items and collaborating with the wider team as needed within established internal frameworks and in line with established security standards and access-control principles;
Contribute to the administration, documentation and support of enterprise network devices and security infrastructure to high standards;
Own the documented assessment and troubleshooting of technical issues in these areas and facilitating escalation to senior team members whenever this is required; and
Show initiative and a willingness to learn, while contributing to continuous improvement while helping the team meet operational and delivery objectives.
Be responsible for operating, supporting, administering, and securing solutions across several technical domains. This includes hands-on involvement in the following areas:
IP, Internet and cloud technologies;
Wired and wireless data networks;
Network management and performance monitoring technologies;
Endpoint protection and response systems
Enterprise network and application firewalls;
Email, collaboration and web access security
Secure remote access technologies and authentication platforms.
Stay adjourned and adhere to the latest AML/CFT policies and procedures.
Qualifications and skills:
- Have 3 to 5 years prior experience in similar roles, preferably in demanding mission-critical IT environments;
- Possess relevant vendor certifications in networking and security technologies;
- An engineering or IT-related degree or equivalent will be considered an asset;
- Be able to work independently while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities;
- Have well-evolved analytical skills while consistently meeting deadlines;
- Be an excellent and willing to support the Group outside of standard office hours, as may be necessary from time to time;
- Demonstrate drive, passion, and commitment;
- Possess good communication skills in verbal and written English language.
