Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Data Analytics and Automation as the Data Developer you are responsible to design, develop, and support data solutions, report processes, and business intelligence tools that enable effective decision-making across the organization. You also work with business and technical teams to transform data from multiple systems into reliable, accessible, and meaningful information through data pipelines, reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytics.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions across multiple source systems.
  • Building, optimizing, and supporting SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects for reporting and analytics.
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing business intelligence dashboards, reports, and data models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting business requirements and translating them into technical data and reporting solutions.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and governance across reporting and analytical platforms.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving data loads, reporting performance, and BI solutions to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Supporting data warehousing initiatives, including schema design, transformation logic, and historical data management.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver scalable and effective reporting solutions.
  • Documenting data processes, reporting logic, technical specifications, and support procedures.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement across data and reporting workflows.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data development, database programming, and business intelligence/reporting.
  • Strong experience with SQL development, SSIS, BI tools, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and reporting solutions is required.
  • Experience with dashboard design, performance tuning, automation, and supporting enterprise reporting environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including database design, coding, documentation, data integrity, security, backup, and recovery.
  • Experience developing, managing, and supporting ETL processes and data integration workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Skills Practical/Technical

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Experience using BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Sisense, Tableau, SSRS, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT development, data integration processes, and data transformation techniques.
  • Understanding data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data governance practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, optimize performance, and support reporting and analytics environments.
  • Experience working with multiple systems, data sources, and enterprise applications to support reporting and business intelligence needs.

Work Conditions

You primarily work in an office or hybrid work environment during regular business hours. Work involves prolonged periods of computer use, concentration, and analysis of complex data and reporting requirements. Occasional overtime or work outside of regular business hours may be required to support deployments, system issues, reporting deadlines, or project deliverables.
