Software Developer//CRD Application Developer

Location (mandatory): 445 Eastern Point Road Groton Connecticut 06340 Motivated software developer to support the development of internal tools and platforms in a pharmaceutical R D setting. This role is focused on supporting existing python/Jupyter notebook solutions and building new tools to support chemists and engineers throughout the drug development process by leveraging Python and various cheminformatics packages. Work alongside the lead developer of the internal application framework, as well as various scientists, to support the computational workflows. Job Responsibilities: Create new applications using our established Jupyter framework for web applications Maintain existing applications with any bug fixes and/or updates as needed Create new widgets to further enhance our capabilities Integrate and visualize experimental data when applicable into the applications Implement and maintain Python-based pipelines for data acquisition and workflow automation Collaborate with scientific stakeholders to refine requirements and iterate on prototypes Work with APIs, databases, and internal data pipelines Document code and workflows following internal best practices and quality standards Skills: Authoring custom classes and subclassing objects Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with web applications Jupyter Notebook Jupyter widget or similar python based web application framework Microservices/API/REST Python. RDKit Education/Experience: BA with 5+ years exp Master in computer science or related field
