QA Lead

The E2E QA Lead position seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in e-commerce and automation. The role involves leading and mentoring a QA team, defining and implementing E2E QA strategies, driving automated test suite development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of QA experience, with 3 years in a leadership role, and proven expertise in e-commerce processes, test automation tools (such as UI Path or similar RPA/dedicated test automation platforms), and Jira. Familiarity with AI concepts for QA improvement is also required. Key Accountabilities Describe the key accountabilities of the job - the main areas of responsibility. Strategic Leadership & Team Management * Proactively engage with projects from inception as the QA Subject Matter Expert (SME). * Rapidly assess project scope, potential impact, and identify affected workflows and systems from the initial stages. * Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies. * Provide expert guidance and leadership to the QA team regarding testing approach, scope, and resource allocation. Test Strategy, Planning & Design * Define and implement comprehensive E2E QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for e-commerce platforms. * In collaboration with QA leads, estimate testing effort and define what needs to be tested, prioritizing based on impact and risk. * Design a balanced testing approach combining manual and automation efforts. Automation Development & Execution * Drive the implementation and maintenance of robust and efficient automated test suites and frameworks. * Oversee the execution of automated tests and analyze results to ensure product quality. * Continuously seek opportunities to enhance test automation coverage and efficiency using tools like UI Path Quality Oversight, Defect Management & Reporting * Oversee the entire testing lifecycle, from initial planning to execution, defect logging, tracking, and resolution. * Monitor and report on key QA metrics, test progress, and product quality to stakeholders. * Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of identified issues using tools like Jira. * Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance where applicable. Process Improvement & Innovation * Continuously identify and implement improvements in QA processes, methodologies, and tools. * Explore and leverage AI concepts to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness. * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, fostering professional growth and a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications Specify all required and preferred qualifications such as experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, certification or licenses. Include job-related requirements, for example: availability to work evenings and weekends. Required * Experience: o 7+ years in Quality Assurance. o 3+ years leading QA teams (3+ individuals). o Proven E-commerce domain expertise (E2E processes). o Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., UI Path or similar RPA/dedicated platforms). o Proficiency with Jira for test management. o Experience with Agile/Scrum. * Skills & Knowledge : o Exceptional strategic project acumen: early impact assessment and workflow identification. o Strong business acumen. o Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills. o Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities. o Ability to provide accurate test estimations and lead combined manual/automation strategies. o Ability to collaborate effectively across domain teams. o Foundational knowledge of AI concepts in QA. * Abilities: o Proactive engagement and quick SME integration in projects. o Strategic impact analysis for efficient test planning. o Strong collaborative spirit. o Detail-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and ambitious. * Education: o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
