Job Title: Sr. IT Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to support the delivery of complex initiatives across enterprise applications and integrated systems.

This role is responsible for conducting detailed analysis, defining requirements, and working closely with business and technology partners to ensure solutions meet intended outcomes.

The Senior IT Business Analyst is expected to work with a high degree of independence and bring structure and clarity to complex, crossfunctional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead business and systems analysis activities across medium to large initiatives

Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements

Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear solution requirements

Perform impact analysis across multiple applications, integrations, and downstream systems

Document process flows, business rules, and data requirements

Support Agile delivery teams through:

Backlog refinement and prioritization support

Clarification of requirements during development

Participation in sprint planning and review sessions

Act as a liaison between business teams, product owners, and technology teams

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including validation of results and defect analysis

Assist with production support activities by analysing issues and identifying root causes

Experience & Qualifications:

8-10+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst

Experience working in large, complex technology environments

Proven ability to work across multiple systems, integrations, and stakeholders

Experience supporting Agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery models

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements

Core Skills:

Requirements elicitation and documentation

Process modelling (BPMN or similar)

Systems and integration analysis

Data analysis and understanding endtoend data flow

Familiarity with APIs, batch processing, or system interfaces

UAT support and defect triage

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries

Exposure to customerfacing digital platforms

IIBA certification (CBAP or equivalent)
