Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite/Hybrid)

The Opportunity

We are building with best-in-class technologies including JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, MongoDB, and more. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer / Lead to join our team and help us build high-quality customer experiences.

This role involves not only writing software using our tech stack but also collaborating with Quality Engineers and Software Engineers to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions. We value engineers who take pride in their code and the team they work with.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to strengthening the team's engineering capabilities

Understand end-to-end architecture (backend to frontend) and provide inputs to improve technical strategy

Work with legacy systems (C#.Net or Java) and modern stack (Node.js/React) to support ongoing transformation

Develop and test high-quality React UIs and Node.js APIs using internal and open-source libraries

Participate in pair programming to learn, mentor, and coach team members

Contribute to open source and inner source projects such as MUX (UI Component Library)

Improve system performance and reliability using tools like New Relic and ADX for monitoring and logging

Take ownership and enjoy building quality software

Additional Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and enhance business applications across the full software development lifecycle

Follow disciplined coding practices to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions

Apply design patterns, automation, and semantic versioning

Utilize development frameworks and third-party libraries

Create detailed system design specifications

Develop prototypes using various design techniques

Work with CI/CD pipelines, API development, DevSecOps, and database design

Demonstrate strong understanding of core web technologies

Use testing frameworks and tools effectively

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of Full Stack development experience

Strong experience in JavaScript, React, and Redux

Experience mentoring junior developers

Hands-on experience with Node.js for microservices development

Experience with at least one database: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, or MongoDB

Familiarity with Jira for task management

Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Snyk, Azure, SonarQube

Proficiency with GitHub for source control

Experience with automated testing tools: Selenium, WebdriverIO, Mocha, Chai, Postman, Jest

Experience with C# .Net and/or Java J2EE for supporting and integrating legacy applications
