Position Summary

As a member across the Digital Health & Redevelopment teams, the Senior Project Manager provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for all I T system s and integration related to the new Uxbridge Hospital project. Reporting to the Director of Technology Services, with a dotted line relationship to Director, Capital Planning, Infrast ructure & Facility Operations, this role leads complex project planning, procurement, design, installation , commissioning, and o perational readiness activities to ensure I T systems and integration s are delivered on time, within scope, and to required quality standards. The Senior Project Manager works collaboratively with internal partners, external vendors, and redevelopment stakeholders to drive project success and alignment across all phases.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and support the planning, procurement, design, installation , commissioning, and opening readiness phases for IT systems and integration components.

  • Provide oversight for IT-related building systems throughout the project to ensure successful integration and commissioning .

  • Act as a primary IT liaison between General Contractor , Infrastructure Ontario , th ird-party vendors , and internal Oak Valley Health teams.

  • Ensure alignment with Digital Health strategies, and Redevelopment timelines and deliverables by collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Project Governance & Controls

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project logs, including issues, risks, action items, decisions, queries, and change requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where needed.

  • Maintain accurate and controlled project documentationincluding scope, schedule, budget, service specifications, change request, and technical requirements.

  • Facilitate project meetings, produce highquality meeting minutes, and drive followup accountability.

  • Track and report on project performance metrics (deliverables, schedule, cost, risks) on a biweekly or monthly basis.

  • Prepare and distribute project dashboards, executive summaries, and status reports for various audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

  • Coordinate complex project activities among a diverse set of stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and clarity in roles and responsibilities.

  • Provide expert consultation to IT and redevelopment team members to support decision-making and alignment.

  • Promote effective communication across cli nical and non clinical teams.

Professional Practice & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, emerging IT and cybersecurity standards, and best practices.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives across the redevelopment portfolio.

  • Maintain relevant professional memberships and pursue ongoing education.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Licenses

  • University degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related discipline (required)

  • Certification and experience working in an ITIL environment (required)

  • PMP certification (preferred)

  • Additional IT professional certifications (preferred)

Skills / Abilities / Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT project management (required), preferably in large, complex construction project or environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading IT infrastructure and integr ation projects through the full project lifecycle

  • Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure, data centres , building systems , security, clinical and business applications, and integration standards (HL7, DICOM, FHIR)

  • Experience with requirements analysis, process mapping, methodology development, and data mapping

  • Healthcare or hospital experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of PSOS, PHIPA, and quality assurance methodologies (preferred)

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, day shifts
