IT Security Associate

Full time direct hire. Must be local, this role is onsite in Kalispell MT.

No C2C. Must be a US Citizen or a green card holder.

We are seeking a proactive IT Security Associate to join our IT team. This entry-level role focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security events, supporting compliance, and helping maintain the credit unions information and physical security systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and perform initial triage of security tickets

• Administer user authentication, access controls, and security hardware (badges, cameras, sensors)

• Assist with vulnerability assessments, patching, and maintaining security software and appliances

• Research emerging security threats and recommend preventative measures

• Support risk and compliance assessments and participate in staff security training

• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure adherence to security policies and standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

• 2+ years experience in IT or information security, including internships

• Relevant IT/security certification such as A+, Security+, Net+ preferred

• Familiarity with Windows security, system hardening, and firewall configurations

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
