Brown & Brown is seeking a Developer to join our growing team !

As a Developer, you will provide support to the organization by developing computer software applications in a variety of coding languages to include C#, Java Script, HTML, CSS, T-SQL, Angular JS and others that may be specified later.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Creates and modifies system applications based on project specifications.

  • Collaborates with the Business Analyst and other stakeholders to fully understand the tasks that must be accomplished by the software requested .

  • Designs the UX as required by the Technical Specifications developed by the Business Analyst .

  • Collaborates with Business Analyst to obtain and analyze project specifications .

  • Perform Alpha testing and coordinates Beta testing of any enhancements or modifications.

  • Ability to debug applications and develop solutions to correct any bugs discovered during Alpha and Beta testing .

  • Generates UAT and Production builds and deploys these builds in the appropriate environment .

  • Analyzes, reviews, and revises the underlying code as needed to increase performance or to develop new enhancements.

  • Develops and maintains documentation of program development and revisions.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in related areas of technology and programming.

  • Perform other duties as needed

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

  • At least three years of related work experience.

  • Experience in a decentralized organization is highly preferred.

  • Experience in the insurance industry and/or basic knowledge of insurance. (preferred)

  • Thorough understanding of design, testing, and modification of programs and applications.

  • Ability to take Business Processes and convert them to Technical Process.

  • Ability to predict potential user and software issues .

  • Ability to understand and develop complex reusable code.

  • Full understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the coding and programming languages used in the organization.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills with management, team members, and customers.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range

$75k - $85k Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
