Job Description
LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is bringing in an experienced IT Manager to coordinate and lead all of LEGACY's various IT domains including office operations, engineering systems, trackside support, and hospitality services. This new strategic leadership position addresses our critical need to move towards a unified strategy on ERP implementation, standardized laptop deployment, comprehensive software management, and enhanced cybersecurity across all operational areas.
This role represents an additional headcount with current IT team members reporting into this individual while maintaining dotted-line support relationships with various functional areas. The position is essential for ensuring Legacy's technology infrastructure supports our high-performance motorsports environment and business growth objectives.
Strategic Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Vision
- Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategy aligned with LEGACY MOTOR CLUB's operations and business objectives
- Lead ERP system evaluation, selection, and implementation across all business units
- Establish technology standards and governance frameworks for office, engineering, trackside, and hospitality domains
Cross-Functional IT Integration
- Coordinate IT services across multiple operational environments (office, garage, trackside, hospitality)
- Ensure seamless technology integration between engineering systems and business operations
- Manage technology requirements for mobile/remote operations during race weekends and testing
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead existing IT team members while maintaining collaborative relationships with functional area leaders
- Establish clear reporting structures with dotted-line support to engineering, operations, and hospitality teams
- Mentor technical staff and develop career progression paths within the organization
Operational Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee enterprise infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and specialized motorsports technology
- Manage standardized laptop deployment and endpoint management across all departments
- Ensure high availability of critical systems during race weekends and testing sessions
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement robust cybersecurity frameworks protecting proprietary engineering data and business information
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection requirements
- Develop incident response procedures for both office and remote operations
Project Management & Vendor Relations
- Lead large-scale technology implementations (ERP, infrastructure upgrades, new system deployments)
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, motorsports-specific solution providers, and enterprise partners
- Coordinate technology budgets across multiple cost centers and operational areas
Business Operations Support
- Provide IT leadership for race weekend operations and testing support
- Ensure technology readiness for hospitality events and client entertainment
- Support engineering teams with specialized software and data management solutions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in management roles
- Experience in complex, multi-site organizations or fast-paced operational environments
- Previous exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or motorsports environments preferred
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in ERP systems (evaluation, implementation, and management)
- Expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of engineering software ecosystems and data management
- Experience with mobile technology deployment and remote site support
Leadership & Communication
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage matrix reporting relationships
- Strong project management skills with experience in large-scale technology implementations
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Industry Experience
- Previous experience in motorsports, automotive, or high-performance engineering environments
- Understanding of race operations, trackside technology, and mobile IT support
- Knowledge of specialized engineering software and data acquisition systems
Certifications & Technical Skills
- Professional certifications (PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)
- Experience with manufacturing/engineering ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Knowledge of data analytics, telemetry systems, or performance measurement tools
Working Conditions
- Primary work location at LEGACY MC headquarters with regular travel to race events and test sessions
- Flexible schedule required to support race weekend operations
- Occasional after-hours support for critical systems and emergency response
- Travel requirements: Up to 20% for domestic race venues and testing locations
