BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You'll Be Doing:

You will receive general direction from the Organizational Strategy Manager & serve as Change Requests Project Manager for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

  • Leading operational project intake, develops new demand requirements, & development of New Business Processes, & other assigned project(s), with or without sub-projects, that covers all phases of project management (e.g., Initiating, Planning, Execution, Implementation, & Closing) to create new or refine existing business processes.
  • Reviewing project scope, time estimates & cost estimates.
  • Documenting project including scope, issues, risks, assumptions, dependencies & constraints.
  • Identifying project requirements & quality standards.
  • Determining risks associated with projects & evaluate the impact.
  • Identifies project management tools & templates to be used in the project.
  • Scheduling project kickoff meetings with the project team members.
  • Identifying BWCs standards & processes to be used in the project.
  • Identifying & documents project roles & responsibilities, follows up on action items.

To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:

Required Experience and/or Education

  • 3 yrs. exp. in project management (i.e., management & development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training & full scale implementation), with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal) AND 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.
  • Or Successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with project to be assigned AND 12 mos. exp. in budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
