Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Cisco networking technologies, network security, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will serve as the lead technical resource responsible for day-to-day network operations, configuration, and support of enterprise-grade network environments. This role is a fully, on-site position in Brooklyn, NY, Mon-Fri. POSITION: Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the lead technical resource for day-to-day network administration
• Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across Cisco infrastructure platforms
• Support and maintain Cisco Nexus, ASR, ACI, Catalyst, and SDWAN platforms

MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

• 8+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and L2/L3 switches (Nexus 9k/7k/5k, ASR, Catalyst, ACI)
• 8+ years of experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
• 5+ years of experience in network security using Cisco ASA and Firepower
• 5+ years of experience with F5 load balancing solutions (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ)
• 5+ years of experience in packet analysis for technical issue resolution

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in education industry or with education-related projects
• Certifications such as CCNP or VMware
• Experience with SDWAN, vManage, and Meraki
• Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and process-focused
• Experience with VMware NSX and NSX Advanced Load Balancer
• Familiarity with Splunk SIEM and SPL (Splunk Processing Language)
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure and ExpressRoute
• Knowledge of network security best practices and implementation
