Furniture Associate Product Manager HAY & DWR Collection
General Purpose
Assists with a specified product line(s) by developing, implementing, and managing product management activities to provide optimum sales and profits. Compiles and evaluates research on assigned product line(s) to establish management strategies. Assists with product direction, pricing, profit plans and product development, to manage the product line(s) life cycle.
Essential Functions
Market Analysis & Product Strategy
- Identify and assess market opportunities using data-driven insights.
- Translate market needs into product criteria and contribute to product development and commercialization strategies.
- Provide market-driven input to product plans, pricing strategies, and business performance improvement.
Data & Pricing Management
- Analyze and maintain product/category metrics, pricing, and discount strategies globally, including currency conversions.
- Manage and support internal data product and sales systems.
- Maintain accurate master product data and oversee data workflows.
Product & Sales Enablement
- Create and maintain sales tools including product sheets, training guides, and technical specification documents.
- Prepare product launch materials and contribute to milestone deliverables
- Support and develop internal tools and promotional assets for product and project requirements.
Product Lifecycle & Quality Support
- Support and resolve product quality issues impacting P&L.
- Manage engineering change orders and collaborate with NPD (New Product Development) on contract needs.
- Support swatch ordering and replacement part development.
Customer & User Engagement
- Participate in user/customer research and retail strategy alignment.
- Serve as a liaison with DWR Retail Merchandising and coordinate contract inclusion and product launches.
Reporting & Analytics
- Pull and analyze reports using tools like Tableau and Business Objects.
- Generate sales, inventory, and performance reports to support strategic decisions.
- Provide reporting support to the Senior Product Manager.
Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate product information communications to sales and dealer teams.
- Manage marketing assets and visual content for HAY & DWR across internal and external platforms.
- Support MillerKnoll social media strategy and content for HAY & DWR Collections.
Event & Stakeholder Engagement
- Participate in Design Days planning and act as subject matter expert during shows.
- Attend NPD meetings and support cross-functional coordination.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Interior Design or related area.
- Strong fundamental understanding of product management best practices and processes, typically gained through 3-5 years of experience in product management/product marketing or related experience.
- Contract furniture or capital goods marketing experience
Skills & Abilities
- Strong customer focus with proven experience in sales processes and field interaction
- Solid understanding of operations, production, supply chain, and value stream
- Knowledge of contract dealer and retail channels, including sales, design, and operations
- Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional projects
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in collaborative team environments
- Adaptable to shifting business, corporate, or strategic priorities
- Business and financial acumen to evaluate marketing and product performance impacts
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
- Capable of performing all essential job functions with or without accommodations
