Job Description
Mantech** is currently looking for a **Senior Linux System Administrator** to join our team in **Ft. Meade, MD** . In this role, you will support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, as well as manage IT system infrastructure and associated processes.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
+ Support day-to-day operations and monitoring, and resolve issues related to client/server/storage/network devices and mobile systems.
+ Escalate and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
+ Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform system capacity analysis and planning.
+ Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems; install and maintain OS software; implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
+ Troubleshoot and maintain system and network integrity. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal stakeholders on escalated issues.
+ Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
+ Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, software, and application integration. Maintain a working knowledge of system administration dependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree in a technical discipline. In lieu of a Bachelors degree, five (5) additional years of related experience may be substituted.
+ Fourteen (14) years of related experience.
+ Experience with Linux operating systems.
**Security Clearance Requirements:**
+ Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g., calculator, copy machine, printer).
+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may include delivering presentations.
