Job Description
We are looking for a motivated bioinformatics contractor to join the research data science team. The candidate will support oncology research projects at Client.
Education:
Advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, computer sciences, or closely related fields.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
Prior working experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
The candidate should have fundamental knowledge of cancer biology and immunology.
The candidate should have general knowledge of statistical analysis.
Strong programming skills such as R, Perl, or Python
Experience with open-source bioinformatics tools and packages to analyze large omics data, e.g., TCGA, GTEx, CCLE DepMap, is required.
The candidate will also be able to work semi-independently and possess effective communication skills, a proactive working attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Programming and troubleshooting of bioinformatics analysis workflow.
Performing the analysis of multiple high-throughput omics data sets, including scRNASeq, TCR-Seq, WES, ATAC-Seq, and proteomics.
Performing biological signatures and pathways analysis.
Curation of gene signatures and pathways from the literature or public domains.
Other bioinformatics analysis in support of research oncology projects as assigned.
