Infrastructure Engineer

Amalgamated Bank is seeking an Engineer of Infrastructure Services accountable for Amalgamated Banks datacenters, compute, storage, network and security technology ecosystem.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Engineers and operationalizes the banks datacenters, compute, storage, network and security technology

+ Works with cloud cyber security engineering team

+ Responsible and accountable (architecture/engineering/operations) for the banks physical and virtual server infrastructure including VDI capabilities

+ Responsible and accountable (architecture/engineering/operations) for the banks LAN/WAN infrastructure

+ Responsible and accountable (architecture/engineering/operations) for the banks security infrastructure

+ Accountable for ensuring the banks disaster recovery capabilities are aligned with business expectations

+ Engineer platforms for high resiliency minimizing business disruption

+ Engineer security solutions aligned with industry best practices, regulatory requirements and Information Security Standards

+ Implement security in depth protecting all facets of the banks technology ecosystem inclusive of end user computing

+ Engineer and implement effective patch management for the server environment ensuring timely application of patches and accurate reporting

+ Maintain accurate inventory of both physical assets, installed software and all third-party components

+ Ensure server, network and overall environment is compliant with all security standards and policies

+ Define and implement methodology to ensure all new software introduced in the firm meets security standards and is properly cataloged, inventoried, packaged and patched on an ongoing basis

+ In partnership with key stakeholders continue to evolve and enhance mobile capabilities enabling knowledge workers to be productive and collaborate from anywhere

+ Perform other duties as directed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

+ Bachelors degree in business or computer science or equivalent experience

+ Solid knowledge of VMWare technologies

+ Understanding of Cisco router and switch technologies

+ Deep Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, and Group Policies

+ Expert level knowledge of Office365

+ Expert level knowledge of PowerShell

+ Advanced engineering skills on server class x86 infrastructure and Storage Products

+ Excellent management, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $120,000.00 $130,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Work Model

Effective February 18, 2025, employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more, on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
