Technical Project Manager Telecom Domain

One of our telecom clients is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong background in the telecom domain to lead and manage complex, cross-functional technical projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Jira and Smartsheet , along with a proven track record of delivering projects successfully on time, within scope, and on budget Job Title: Technical Project Manager Telecom Domain Experience: 10 to 15 Years Location: [4 day onsite in a week ] Mt. Laurel, NJ Employment Type: Contract W2 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects within the telecom ecosystem, including network infrastructure, OSS/BSS systems, and platform migrations.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals and technical feasibility.
• Develop detailed project plans using Smartsheet and manage day-to-day progress via Jira.
• Track and report on project performance, proactively identifying and mitigating risks or roadblocks.
• Facilitate communication between engineering, QA, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Manage change requests and ensure proper documentation, traceability, and impact analysis.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors, offshore teams, and internal departments to ensure seamless execution.
• Prepare executive-level dashboards, progress reports, and stakeholder updates.
• Ensure adherence to project governance and compliance standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10 15 years of overall experience in Project/Program Management with at least 5+ years in the Telecom industry.
• Deep understanding of telecom systems (e.g., OSS/BSS, 4G/5G, VoIP, fiber, etc.).
• Proven experience with Jira for sprint planning, backlog grooming, and tracking project progress.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Smartsheet for creating project plans, Gantt charts, dashboards, and resource tracking.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in managing geographically distributed teams.
• Exposure to telecom regulatory and compliance requirements.
