The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II will support the development and delivery of high-quality SaaS applications. The SDET will be responsible for designing and developing robust test automation, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and partnering with developers and QE to improve the overall testability and performance of ICP services and products. The ideal candidate will love learning new technologies, is involved, and is not afraid to dive into solving complex technology. Duties and Responsibilities- Solid programming skills in at least one of these languages (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, etc...)
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, etc.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web and API layers.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD process to support continuous testing and deployment.
- Build test coverage for key product areas with a focus on regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Work in partnership with SDETs, QEs/QAs to define test automation priorities, test data, test environments and test execution.
- Investigate test failures, review test results and provide timely feedback to developers and stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
- 2-4 years relevant SDET experience and work with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or similar.
- Excellent communication and partnership skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
- Solid data-analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify issues and work on resolutions.
- Experience with automation dashboards, preferably Report Portal and Dynatrace for reporting, monitoring, and logging to track and validate the behavior of cloud services during tests.
- Working knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based development.
- Experience with healthcare technologies.
- Prior experience with testing a product built on microservices architecture
- Familiarity with gRPC framework, OpenAPI specification, AWS, MS Azure, GitHub CoPilot, SonarQube, JIRA, PractiTest, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Knowledge of how to manage resources efficiently during testing and optimize the cost of cloud services.
- Knowledge of security concepts especially with multi-factor authentication
This position offers a salary range of $140,800.00 to $150,800.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidates location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
