Location: New Jersey, NJ

Project Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer to conduct a detailed assessment and deliver a comprehensive project plan for a multi-site Cisco Meraki network and AWS virtual firewall setup. This role involves discovery, documentation, and the creation of a strategic project design to transition the current infrastructure to a desired target state.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a comprehensive network discovery to document the current state of the Meraki and AWS environments.

Produce a detailed discovery document covering all routing, switching, SD-WAN, traffic shaping, and AWS firewall configurations.

Develop a project design plan that outlines the transformation from the current to the desired state.

Recommend actionable steps and changes required to optimize performance, security, and scalability.

Provide a resource plan including

Time estimates

Onsite technician hours

Tools or services required

Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to validate design decisions and address concerns.

Deliver final documentation with clear steps, diagrams (as needed), and timelines.

Deliverables:

Discovery Documentation A thorough record of current network configurations across all sites.

Project Design Document A strategic plan with architectural recommendations.

Recommended Action Plan A phase-wise roadmap to implement the new design.

Resource Quotation Estimated hours and staffing required, including onsite technicians.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with Cisco Meraki environments (switches, APs, routing, and SD-WAN)

Strong understanding of OSPF, static routing, and traffic shaping in enterprise networks

Experience with AWS networking and virtual firewall configurations

Ability to translate technical findings into detailed documentation and project plans

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

Cisco Meraki Certification (e.g., CMNA)

AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty

CCNP or equivalent
