Koniag Management Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer/Architect Lead specializing in AI/Automation to help drive our cybersecurity initiatives forward. This role combines traditional cybersecurity leadership with cutting-edge AI and automation implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity architectures while leveraging artificial intelligence and automation to enhance security operations.
**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:**
+ The Cybersecurity Engineer/Architect Lead will be responsible for:
+ Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide cybersecurity architectures
+ Lead teams to execute the deployment of security tools and technologies and troubleshooting security issues.
+ Developing and implementing AI-driven security solutions and automation frameworks
+ Overseeing security operations and incident response processes
+ Creating and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards
+ Leading threat hunting initiatives using advanced analytics and machine learning
+ Managing and mentoring cybersecurity team members
+ Conducting security assessments and risk analysis
+ Implementing zero-trust architecture principles
+ Developing automated response capabilities for security incidents
+ Collaborating with stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives
+ Providing technical leadership in security tool selection and implementation
+ Creating and maintaining security documentation and architectural diagrams
**Education and Experience:**
+ Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
+ 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering
+ 5+ years of experience in security architecture
+ 3+ years of experience with AI/ML implementation in security contexts
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
+ Expert knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)
+ Strong experience with security automation tools and platforms
+ Proficiency in implementing AI/ML solutions for security operations
+ Ability to communicate effectively across multiple cybersecurity functions
+ Strong understanding of network and system security
+ Experience with SIEM, EDR, and other security tools
+ Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
+ Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools
+ Expertise in threat modeling and risk assessment
+ Experience with security orchestration and automated response (SOAR)
+ Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (CMMC, FedRAMP, etc.)
+ Excellence in technical writing and communication
+ Leadership and team management skills
**Desired Skills and Competencies:**
+ CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification
+ Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks
+ Knowledge of zero trust architecture implementation
+ Experience with container security and Kubernetes
+ Familiarity with blockchain security
+ Experience working with federal agencies
+ Background in incident response
+ Experience with red team/blue team exercises
+ Public speaking and presentation skills
+ Previous experience in military or government cybersecurity roles
