Rarebreed Veterinary Partners is seeking a high-performing Project Manager to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives across our rapidly growing organization. This individual will play a critical role in leading strategic projects that enhance business performance, technology adoption and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of PMO, you will oversee project lifecycles from initiation through delivery, applying best practices in project management and leveraging your expertise in software, IT systems, and business operations.

This is a high-impact, visible role that demands a results-oriented leader with a systems-thinking mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to seamlessly coordinate across business and technical teams. This is a remote role open to candidates within the United States. Our ideal candidate will live and work in the greater Northeast area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple high-priority projects, ensuring alignment and strategic business objectives and successful delivery within scope, timeline and budget
  • Translate strategic goals into detailed project plans using a systems-thinking approach to manage dependencies and stakeholder needs
  • Drive software, IT, and business system implementation projects, including requirements gathering, testing coordination, training, and go-live support
  • Serve as central point of coordination across cross-functional teams including operations, IT, product and external vendors
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues and escalate challenges as appropriate to maintain project momentum

Track budgets, resources, KPI's and timelines to ensure effective allocation and accountability

  • Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, reporting and stakeholder communication using tools such as Asana or Jira
  • Support organizational change management initiatives and foster alignment and adoption across departments
  • Facilitate clear communication, maintain project documentation, and provide consistent status reporting
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical stakeholders to design scalable, user-centric solutions
  • Mentor project managers and model leadership best practices across the project management discipline
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance (required)
  • Awareness of cloud infrastructure, integration specifics and data governance
  • Vendor / SLA management, agile SDLC leadership, user acceptance test coordination and some ITSM familiarity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record leading full cycle software, IT and systems integration projects
  • Strong technical acumen and experience managing technology-driven change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to write, analyze and manage business and technical requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience influencing at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized with strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making capabilities
  • Adept at managing competing priorities and working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other project management certification highly preferred
  • Experience in the veterinary, healthcare, or multi-site services industry a plus
  • Familiarity with business process improvement, strategic planning, or change management methodologies
  • Strong financial literacy and experience managing project budgets and AROI reporting

  • Project & Workflow Management: Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project
  • Productivity & Collaboration: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Teams, Slack and Zoom
  • Data & Reporting: Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
  • Documentation & Requirements: Sharepoint, Teams, Visio
