SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Role: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Location: Austin, TX (3 days onsite)
Contract
No. of positions: 2
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and scripts for web and API layers.
Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and design discussions to ensure test coverage.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software.
Drive shift-left testing practices and embed quality earlier in the SDLC.
Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports thoroughly.
Execute automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Contribute to performance, security, and exploratory testing as needed.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer.
Strong programming skills in
Java
,
JavaScript
, or
Python
.
Proficiency with test automation tools/frameworks such as
Selenium
,
TestNG
,
RestAssured
,
Cypress
, or
Playwright
.
Hands-on experience with API testing and tools like
Postman
or
SoapUI
.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like
Jenkins
,
Git
,
Bitbucket
,
Azure DevOps
.
Strong knowledge of
SQL
and ability to validate backend data.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with financial or banking domain applications is a plus.
