We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for the management of one or more complex projects concurrently; plans and performs analysis of company functions, processes, and activities. This position will be full-time and hybrid in Towson, MD.
What You'll Do
Management of specific project work
Performs daytoday management of the project, identifies issues and risks and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project
Ensures that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget
Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria
Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels)
Monitors issues and provides resolutions for uptodate status reports
Demonstrates excellent writing and oral communications skills
Develops meeting agenda and meeting handouts
What You'll Need
Required:
Minimum seven years of successful Project Management experience managing large, high profile and sensitive projects
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Project Management Professional Certification from PMI
Previous experience managing business process implementations, software and/or hardware implementation and upgrade projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI)
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, WORD)
Experience with Executive level presentations and communication
Exceptional organization and coordination skills
Ability to work five days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 P.M.
Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Must currently possess a Project, Program, Portfolio, or Agile management certificate from the Project Management Institute
Preferred:
Experience managing projects using Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint
Previous experience working in a government entity (Federal, State or Local)
Experience with development, management, communication and support of public safety systems
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $90 - $105 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
