Senior Software Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Tesla, Inc., Bellevue, WA:**
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient payment processing systems for Tesla's products and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and engineering, to gather requirements and develop solutions. Implement best practices in security, data privacy, and compliance to ensure the protection of sensitive customer data. Continuously optimize and refactor existing codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability. Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party payment processors, banks, and other financial institutions. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to payment processing. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth and development of the engineering team. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the payments industry to identify new opportunities and drive innovation.
Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week, $175,790.00 per year.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role. Experience may be gained through any combination of employment, internships or coursework.
Experience must include:
Agile development methodologies;
Utilizing databases to query and filter information from different relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL or MongoDB);
Analyzing performance of systems and implementing patterns and tools to help make processing faster and improve overall performance;
Frontend technologies (Node or React);
Algorithms for graphs (Dijkstra's or Kruskal);
Software design fundamentals in building payments processing systems (e.g., PayPal), as well as Pub/Sub modules or MicrosControllers.
