IT Project Manager

MUST BE LOCAL TO BIRMINGHAM Description One of TEKsystems' long-standing clients, a growing company headquartered in Birmingham, is looking for a mid-level Project Manager to join their PMO. The company has made a couple of acquisitions recently and one or two of their existing PMs are going to focus on M&A specific projects, and that creates a net-new opening to support current and future projects. Top Skills' Details 1) IT and business (financial) project management from building project plans through closeout 2) Project planning and execution (stakeholder management) 3) documentation and reporting in a PM tool Although this role is initially taking over some existing/in-flight projects, the Project Manager should have experience managing all phases of the project lifecycle from creating project charters, building project plans, assessing risks, execution and close-out. The project manager needs to have experience managing multiple projects of varying size and scope and projects that are IT specific as well as business specific. The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors and partners is critical.
