IT Project Manager The IT Project Manager (IT PM) will be responsible for coordinating all IT activities for projects identified and approved within the IT Project portfolio. The IT PM will manage medium to large-sized infrastructure build-outs, expansions, and hardware or software upgrade projects independently of a Senior IT Project Manager, ensuring project objectives and requirements are delivered. Responsibilities include planning, reporting, resourcing, project kickoff, scheduling, delivery, and closing activities. The IT PM will build collaborative working relationships with both business and technical stakeholders, manage project scope, define work breakdown structures (WBS), and create project schedules. Additionally, the IT PM will track project actuals against the project plan, identify risks and issues, develop contingency plans, and remove impediments for the project team. The IT PM may assist Senior IT Project Managers on large-scale, complex projects and mentor IT Project Coordinators. This is a remote position. IT Project Manager Responsibilities Project Management: Oversee planning, reporting, resourcing, project kickoff, scheduling, delivery, and closing activities for medium to large projects. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with both business and technical project stakeholders. Scope Management: Ensure project scope is clear and business requirements are understood to develop technical requirements and solutions. Scope Control: Manage project scope to keep projects on track. Work Breakdown Structures (WBS): Define WBS and create project schedules in collaboration with project team members. Urgency and Delivery: Drive a sense of urgency towards project deliverables and completion within the project team. Tracking and Baseline Management: Track project actuals against the project plan, baseline, and revise the plan as necessary. Risk and Issue Management: Identify risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, evaluate courses of action, and develop contingency plans, including mitigations or escalations. Impediment Removal: Remove impediments for the project team. Communications Plan: Develop a communications plan to ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed or consulted. Status Communication: Communicate project status and/or escalations to Project and Executive Sponsors as required. Reporting: Provide reporting to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project status. Milestone Achievement: Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve project milestones and ensure customer satisfaction. Process Improvement: Recommend project process improvements. Team and Schedule Management: Manage, control, and coordinate project team, schedules, and implementation. Administrative Oversight: Provide day-to-day oversight of administrative functions to achieve project sustainability and success. IT Project Manager Qualifications A minimum of 3-5 years IT Project Management experience; previous IT infrastructure project experience is required. A Bachelors Degree is preferred, preferably in a technical- or business-related field. A strong track record successfully delivering medium to large scale IT focused projects with a high level of customer satisfaction. Project Lifecycle Methodologies: Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. Exposure to Identity and Access management services or tools, Okta a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Products: Demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Project for project planning and management. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication, as well as experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-based solutions. Proficient in using SharePoint for document management and collaboration, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting. Ability to gain the respect of the senior technical teams to lead projects, coordinate teams and handle issues and problems effectively in a timely manner is required. ITIL process framework certification or knowledge is a plus, as is experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology, including belt certification. Compensation: $57-$62.50/hr.
