Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience, capable of managing and maintaining core IT infrastructure including virtual servers, firewalls, switches, and network environments. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable running small to medium-sized IT projects independently, working closely with internal teams and third-party vendors. A solid awareness on cyber security and best practices is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain virtual server environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls as and when needed
Maintain and support network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, and Wi-Fi access points
Deliver and manage small IT infrastructure projects from planning to implementation
Provide advanced support and escalation beyond second-line helpdesk
Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and procedures
Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed
Monitor systems for performance and reliability, taking corrective actions as necessary
Support backup and disaster recovery strategies
Requirements:
Proven experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering roles
Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, and virtualized server environments
Competent in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 environments
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)
Experience with project delivery and managing technical change
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Solid understanding of cyber security and IT security best practices
Desirable:
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS)
Exposure to scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
Compensation Information:
This position has a starting salary range of $96,570 to $160,950 per year. Pay is determined by several factors, including a candidate's experience, relevant skills, and qualifications
