Dans ce role, vous aurez les responsabilites suivantes :

• Creer des API percutantes : contribuez au developpement de capacites API de haute qualite, resilientes, evolutives et rapides sur notre pile dexperiences, en mettant laccent sur lecran daccueil.
• Accorder la priorite au client : aidez a soutenir les systemes de production (y compris enqueter sur les problemes et travailler a la resolution).
• Donner la priorite a la qualite : creez des tests automatises pour vous assurer que notre code est fiable et prend en charge lintegration continue.
• Collaborer et apprendre : travaillez en etroite collaboration avec votre equipe pour concevoir, developper, tester et lancer de nouvelles fonctionnalites, tout en garantissant la coherence sur toutes les plateformes (Android, iOS et Web).
• Garder une longueur davance : suivez les tendances de lindustrie, suggerez des ameliorations et collaborez avec votre equipe pour les mettre en uvre.

Votre experience et vos competences :

• Bilinguisme : maitrise du francais et de langlais exigee
• Deux ans ou plus dexperience dans lutilisation de Java ou Kotlin avec un baccalaureat ou une experience professionnelle equivalente
• Bonne comprehension des concepts OOPS, des principes SOLID et des systemes de conception diriges par le domaine
• Experience avec les plateformes nuagiques telles quAmazon Web Services
• Experience en maintenance de projets dans des environnements de production (correction de bogues, depannage, surveillance, etc.)

Software Development Engineer II

Our team, the Home & Navigation team , shape the first interaction that millions of travelers have with Expedia. We're looking for a motivated, curious, and forward-thinking engineer who is passionate about delivering seamless, personalized experiences across native apps and web.

As part of our team, you'll be instrumental in crafting the initial experience for customers as they enter the Expedia ecosystem. From the home page to navigation, your work will ensure travelers can easily explore, discover, and shop for their ideal travel products.

In this role, you will:

• Build Impactful APIs : Contribute to developing high-quality, resilient, scalable and fast API capabilities on our experience stack, focusing on the Home screen.

• Customer first mindset : Assist with supporting Production systems (includes investigating issues and working towards resolution)

• Quality First: Write automated tests to ensure our code is reliable and supports continuous integration.

• Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with your team to design, develop, test, and launch new features, ensuring consiste ncy across all platforms ( Android, iOS and web ) .

• Stay Ahead: Keep up with industry trends, suggest improvements, and collaborate with your team to implement them.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bilingual: Proficiency in French and English required.

• 2+ years of experience using Java or Kotlin with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Good understanding of OOPS Concepts, SOLID Principles, Domain driven design systems.

• Experience with cloud-computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services

• Maintained projects in production environments (bug fixing, troubleshooting, monitoring etc.)

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $86,000.00 to $120,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $137,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individuals knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
