The Software Engineer SME shall serve as a Technical Expert.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Support multiple mission-critical systems across various business domains, working closely with stakeholders to ensure system performance, usability, and alignment with agency goals.
- Provide mentorship, lead troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to architecture decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Active Top Secret Clearance

• Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications
• 10+ years of Software Engineer experience.
• 5-7+ years of experience developing applications in complex, enterprise environments, with significant experience specifically with Oracle APEX applications
• Effective communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
• -Ability to work across multiple projects and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Agile environments
• -Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, user-friendly, and secure applications
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database including performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience with RESTful Web Services, SSO, and security best practices
• Deep expertise in Oracle APEX 20.x or higher (ideally with a few versions of the current release), PL/SQL, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS

The likely salary range for this position is $158,846 - $214,910. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
