NoSQL Database Architect- Cassandra

Our client, a global technology leader, is seeking a NoSQL Database Architect (Cassandra-focused) to join their architecture team. This is a highly technical role supporting large-scale, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate brings deep NoSQL expertise, strong hands-on shell scripting, and a DevOps mindset.

Job Title: NoSQL Database Architect Cassandra
Location: Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ
Type: Contract (812 months)

• Design and optimize distributed NoSQL database solutions (Cassandra & MongoDB)

• Architect for high availability, performance, and scale

• Implement automation using Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code principles

• Own security controls, replication, partitioning, and backup strategies

• Partner with development and security teams on schema design and performance tuning

• 10+ years in NoSQL/database architecture (Cassandra-heavy)

• Advanced shell scripting skills

• Hands-on with Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation tools

• Experience with replication, sharding, and resilient data systems

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
