- Install and configure new or existing servers, workstations, laptops, and peripherals in accordance with standards and project requirements.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for various software applications.
- Set up printers and plotters as needed for engineering applications.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards and deploy customer configuration databases for critical applications.
- Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Review system and application logs and verify the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures and communicate with impacted stakeholders.
- Coordinate with customer IT teams for application access requests and problem resolutions.
- Assist the Network Operations team with network and telecom outages.
- Identify and create test plans for new technologies and systems.
- Create, enforce, and maintain IT security standards for all IT assets.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as necessary.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Manage IT assets, including requests and reporting renewals for hardware and software maintenance.
- Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows and SCCM.
- Experience using IT service management tools like Service Now or Cherwell.
- At least 1 year of experience in supporting engineering applications.
- Experience working for engineering services or product companies.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting and software tool development.
- Strong administrative support and customer service skills.
- Ability to install and configure servers, workstations, and laptops with hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage.
