We are seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, scripting, and executing performance tests for APIs and web applications. You will work with open-source tools like K6, Gatling, or JMeter to build scalable frameworks, simulate real-world load conditions, and help ensure optimal system performance across all platforms. **Job Title: Performance Test Engineer** **Location: Columbus, OH (Remote)** **Pay Range: $70/hr on W2-** **cannot work on C2C for this role** **What's the Job?** Max of 5 + Design, script, and execute performance tests for APIs and Web Applications. + Develop scalable performance testing frameworks using open-source tools (K6, Gatling, JMeter). + Simulate production conditions to performance test retail and back-office systems. + Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Development, Quality Engineering, Product, and Enterprise Architecture teams. + Document and track performance issues using defect tracking tools such as JIRA. + Develop and maintain performance test plans, test cases, and related artefacts. + Analyze and distribute performance test results, providing actionable insights to stakeholders. **What's Needed?** + Hands-on experience with performance testing concepts, processes, and best practices. + Proficiency in using open-source performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, K6, or Gatling. + Familiarity with enterprise tools like LoadRunner or NeoLoad is a plus. + Strong scripting/programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript. + Solid understanding of SQL and database interaction for performance analysis. + Experience with testing APIs, microservices, and cloud-based platforms. + Skilled with performance monitoring and optimization tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic. + Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and collaboration practices. + Experience with defect tracking systems like JIRA. + Ability to interpret and analyze complex performance test results. + Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. + A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. + Strong passion for quality and a keen eye for detail.
