ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and oversee IT hardware, software, and networks
• Manage and validate data backup operations, ensuring RTO/RPO compliance
• Ensure timely application of security patches and program updates
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies
• Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain IT systems securely
• Implement scalable IT solutions aligned with organizational needs
• Monitor system availability and resolve connectivity issues
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, system, and network issues via a ticketing system
• Optimize IT infrastructure performance and scalability
• Continuously assess infrastructure performance, implement scalable solutions, and ensure high availability
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Define and document best practices, policies, and compliance standards
• Conduct server audits to ensure security and policy adherence
• Assist with hardware/software evaluations and roadmap development
• Ensure system stability through proactive maintenance and thorough documentation
• Provide technical leadership in IT projects, mentor other engineers, and document continuous improvement efforts
• Manage and optimize virtual infrastructure to ensure high availability, resource efficiency, and seamless scalability

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field (e.g., IT, Computer Science, or similar) or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required
• This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s)
• Experience with various server types (web, file, application, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PERL)
• Expertise in RHEL-based Linux
• Automation experience (Ansible preferred; Terraform a plus)
• Experience with VMware vCenter/vSphere 6.5+ (Horizon VDI a plus)
• Experience with Docker containers (Podman and Kubernetes a plus)
• Understanding of enterprise storage solutions (Pure Storage and ExaGrid a plus)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and development tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Atlassian tools, SonarQube) a plus
• Knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP) and Firewalls (FortiGate) a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to work independently
• Willingness to work non-standard hours when needed.
