Job Description


Informatica Developer Location: Pittsburgh, PA- Onsite Job Type: Full-Time Job Description: Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL mappings, sessions, and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) .
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data integration issues, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and availability.
  • Collaborate with database administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-performance data pipelines.
  • Perform data profiling , data cleansing , and data validation .
  • Support data warehousing initiatives and integration with different source systems (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, flat files, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain parameter files , control tables , and error handling/logging mechanisms .
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including mapping documents, data dictionaries, and architecture diagrams.
  • Monitor ETL jobs and provide support for production workflows, including issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning of ETL processes.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environments and follow SDLC best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3 7 years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter or IICS .
  • Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts , star/snowflake schema , and dimensional modeling .
  • Proficiency in working with RDBMS systems like Oracle , SQL Server , Teradata , or Snowflake .
  • Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with performance tuning of ETL jobs and large datasets.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud data integration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data governance , data quality tools , and metadata management is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
