Operations Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will work as a member of the project team that supports all of Operations within Stifel. The Business Analyst will engage and collaborate with both leadership and associates within Operations to understand and analyze business processes and procedures needed for successful project completion. The Business Analyst will be responsible for maintaining project plans and task lists.

What We're Looking For

  • Develop an understanding of the data, applications, processes, and procedures utilized by Operations that will contribute to the project plan

  • Aid in the development and implementation of the project plan

  • Prepare, review and maintain project documentation and reports

  • Track project deliverables by using appropriate tools

  • Facilitate and lead project team meetings as necessary including capturing meetings minutes

  • Learn to maintain strong communication with stakeholders and peers following up as needed to provide transparency

  • Acquire the ability to initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members as well as internal and external technology partners

  • Concurrently manage multiple assignments and deadlines

  • Align to the framework established by leadership for advancing projects and initiatives

  • Ability to develop problem solving skills to complete research from beginning to end
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail to minimize risk to the firm
  • Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex subject matter in an understandable manner
  • Exhibits the capacity to think strategically about efficient and effective ways to solve complex issues
  • Ability to determine the appropriate course of action based on knowledge attained from various stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of financial industry terminology and concepts
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity and multiple competing priorities while under time constraints


Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experiece or equivalent combination of education and experience


Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • An understanding of project management is preferred
