The Product Innovation Manager will oversee Janney’s Product Innovation Team, a specialized Operations technology team consisting of seven analysts. The team works directly with Operations Management to maximize the effectiveness of workflow and automation solutions, particularly within IFS (Operations Workflow software) and Talk Desk (call center software). The Department Manager will function as a contributing member of the Operations leadership team and work closely with other departments within Operations and across the firm, as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership & Oversight
  • Lead and manage a team of systems analysts to ensure alignment with service goals and objectives.
  • Provide work direction to analysts and manage workflow within the team to meet departmental and company objectives.
  • Offer constructive feedback on performance and development needs for analysts.
  • Oversee the onboarding and training of new analysts on Janney’s systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the team.
  • Act as the lead for the Talk Desk and IFS platforms, ensuring solutions are aligned with business goals and operational processes.
  1. Project Management & Strategic Decision Making
  • Lead all phases of the automation process, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment for Talk Desk and IFS platforms.
  • Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders (users, testers, leadership) throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects are completed on time and meet objectives.
  • Recommend process improvements and innovations based on industry best practices and corporate objectives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in strategic and operational decision-making related to operations technology and platform optimization.
  1. Collaboration & Communication
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders (users, testers, leadership) to keep everyone informed of progress, issues, and project bottlenecks.
  • Advocate for intuitive, user-friendly systems that enhance the overall user experience on Talk Desk and IFS platforms.
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making and drive project prioritization.
  1. Compliance, Policies & Vendor Management
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures related to Talk Desk and IFS to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all workflows and technology solutions adhere to Janney's internal policies and industry standards.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure that third-party services and solutions are delivered effectively and meet performance expectations.

What you Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 5 years equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong background in project management and team leadership.
  • FINRA Series 99 or Series 7 or obtained within 180 days of start date.
  • Familiarity with Talk Desk, IFS Platform or similar tools in Operations or Technology.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of maintaining operational standards and compliance.
  • Effective project management skills
  • Superior time management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.

Must be able to work a hybrid schedule – approximately three days per week in the office.
