Data Anlyst Intern (Hybrid)

Overview

JCSA Holdings Inc. is a private company that provides capital and operational assistance for businesses in exchange for equity in the business enterprise.  The company is based in Albany NY but considers business opportunities on a global basis.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst Intern is expected to conduct research, gather relevant information pertaining to directed projects, and extract insights from the vast amount of data collected through statistical and analytical techniques to help detect patterns and trends. The Data Analyst intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and help them develop tools for collecting, organizing and analyzing information.  The Data Analyst Intern be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA. The Data Analyst Intern will report to the Company’s Business Management Consultant.

Principal Duties

  1. Consult with executives and other business leaders to identify improvement opportunities.
  2. Create reports for internal teams, external clients and/or stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
  4. Visualizing data with graphs, infographics and other methods.
  5. Update current KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
  6. Structuring large data sets to find usable information.
  7. Process information with a team of analysts and other associates, both on and off site of the main work location.
  8. Craft presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  9. Update current documents, presentations, and data systems with relevant information.
  10. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Skills.

  1. Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite products is required. Particularly Excel, Microsoft Projects, and Power Point.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  3. Must be fluent in English, Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Analytics, or related field preferred but not required.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to lift Thirty (30) pounds.
  • Must be able to comfortably use ladders and step stools.
